60: Helping Kids Build Confidence Through Movement with Philip Laslett

In today’s episode of Growth Over Easy, I’m joined by Philip Laslett to explore how movement supports children’s growth, development, and well-being. We dive into how encouraging kids to move and create daily can be powerful vehicles for building confidence and resilience.

Philip is a children’s author, marathon runner, and speaker on well-being, mindset, and exercise. After two decades in corporate sales enablement and adult learning and development, he pivoted to focus full-time on children’s well-being through storytelling and workshops. In 2021, he published the first of his four children’s books and has since continued to inspire kids and families worldwide.

As the founder of the Cheetah Cub Running Club, Philip helps primary school children with low self-worth build confidence through his Take Brave Steps Forward program, grounded in the club’s empowering values. He is also an Executive Contributor for Brainz magazine and writes the popular blog Runner Who Writes, where he shares insights on creativity, movement, and mindset.
