Vagal Authority
There's more to life than managing it.
Private, one-on-one work for CEOs, founders, and executives who appear to have it all together but struggle to switch off, slow down, and enjoy the life they've built.
You carry a lot. You don't have to carry it everywhere.
People count on you to make decisions, solve problems, and know what to do next.
And you're good at it.
But your mind rarely stops. You're anticipating problems, replaying conversations, and thinking three steps ahead.
At work, people see someone who has it together. What they don't see is how much you're questioning yourself, anticipating what could go wrong, and carrying the weight of every decision.
At home, you're physically present but mentally somewhere else. Your partner wants more of you, but you're struggling to switch off.
And even when you've done everything you were supposed to do, there's a part of you that wonders whether you've done enough.
You've built a life you wanted. You'd like to be able to enjoy it.
Insight isn't the same as capacity.
You can understand exactly why you overthink, worry, or react the way you do and still find yourself doing it again.
That's because many of your responses to pressure are automatic patterns you've practiced for years.
You may have become exceptionally good at anticipating problems, managing uncertainty, and staying one step ahead.
Those abilities have probably served you well.
But when you're constantly preparing for what's next, it becomes difficult to settle into what's happening now.
Vagal Authority helps you build the nervous system capacity to experience pressure and discomfort without automatically moving into overthinking, control, defensiveness, or withdrawal.
So you can trust yourself under pressure, stay connected when things get difficult, and actually enjoy the life you've built.
What becomes possible?
At work
Make clearer decisions, navigate uncertainty, and have difficult conversations without carrying the pressure into everything else.
At home
Be more present with your partner, move through conflict without losing connection, and have more energy for the relationships that matter.
Within yourself
Spend less time anticipating problems, questioning yourself, and feeling responsible for everything. Experience more ease, enjoyment, and freedom in your everyday life.
How the Work Unfolds
A three-phase approach combining nervous system capacity building, somatic practices, and practical application.
01 / Build Capacity
Recognize your body's responses to pressure and develop the ability to stay present with discomfort instead of automatically reacting.
02 / Change the Pattern
Identify the protective responses that keep you overthinking, controlling, defending, or withdrawing, and practice new ways of responding.
03 / Lead with Vagal Authority
Bring that growing capacity into your everyday life so you can navigate challenges, stay connected to others, and respond with greater choice.
Meet Lilly
I'm Lilly Rachels, MSW, a Relationship Strategist, former therapist, and co-founder of Relational Somatics.
I work with men who are used to being the person everyone else counts on, but who rarely feel like they can put that responsibility down.
My work combines nervous system capacity building and relational skills to help you move beyond understanding your patterns and begin changing how you respond to pressure, uncertainty, and connection.
Because the goal isn't to become someone else. It's to feel more like yourself, even when life gets difficult.
